The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Four will be conducting a Public Workshop regarding the Lighting Project along SR A1A/NE Ocean Boulevard from 300 feet east of Lyons Bridge to 300 feet north of SR 732/Jensen Beach Boulevard in Martin County. The purpose of this project is to provide pedestrian decorative lighting along the corridor, install a 6-foot concrete sidewalk and ADA curb ramps along the west side of the corridor, and to add pavement markings for crosswalks at the location where the new sidewalk is being installed. The petition sought a declaratory statement from the Office on whether Chapter 560, Florida Statutes require SSN and secondary IDs to be captured regardless if the transactions are governed by the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. 1693a(7).

The petition sought a declaratory statement from the Office on whether its proposed business model (a payroll service provider providing the following service: 1-receive US funds from Florida clients' bank accounts via electronic funds transfer; 2-the funds received pertaining to the employees' payroll are then deposited to each employees' bank account via electronic funds transfer; 3-ensure that employees and employers taxes are transferred to the related government bodies) would require licensure under Chapter 560, Florida Statutes.
