The project involves widening of the Florida’s Turnpike / SR 821 from north of SW 40th Street (Bird Road) to SR 836 (Dolphin Expressway) (Financial Project ID Number: 415051-4). Other improvements include the addition of express lanes and interchange modifications within the project limits. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to attend a public hearing concerning the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study to State Road (S.R.) 87 South at S.R. 10 (U.S. 90) to S.R. 87 North in Santa Rosa County. The hearing will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CST, at the First Assembly of God Gymnasium, 6163 Dogwood Drive, Milton. There will be an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a formal presentation at 6 p.m.
This hearing is being held to provide the public with the analysis findings and to gather public input on the two remaining alternatives. The alternative that will move forward into design will be selected based on the analysis and public comments received.
Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits, in place of, or in addition to, oral statements, may do so at the hearing or by sending them to Peggy Kelley, FDOT Project Manager, 1074 Highway 90, Chipley, FL 32428. All exhibits or statements postmarked on or before the 23rd of November will become part of the public hearing record. Representatives from FDOT will also be available at the hearing to answer questions and receive comments.
