That on November 13, 2013, the Department of Environmental Protection has issued an order. The order is for the Charley Toppino & Sons, Inc. (Toppino) variance petition (OGC File No. 13-1239), received on October 4, 2013. The petition requested a fee reduction for processing construction permits for 36 Class V, Group 6 dewatering injection wells (Rule 62-4.050(4)(m)11, F.A.C.). Notice of receipt of this petition was published in the Florida Administrative Register, on October 16, 2013. No public comment was received. The final order granted a variance to Toppino to reduce the application fee to a total of $10,000.00. This variance was granted because the petitioner demonstrated a substantial hardship and that the purposes of the underlying statutes would be met with the conditions imposed by the Department.
