This workshop is scheduled to discuss the Kendall Drive Rapid Transit PD&E Study along SR 94/SW 88 Street/Kendall Drive from SR 997/Krome Avenue/SW 177 Avenue to Dadeland North Metrorail Station in Miami-Dade County. The Kendall corridor is being studied as a part of the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit, or SMART Plan, which identifies the development of six rapid transit corridors that directly support the mobility of our future population and employment growth. FDOT will hold an alternatives public meeting to provide information about the proposed improvements to US 41 from Ringling Boulevard to Main Street. The meeting will be an open house format with a continuous video presentation. People attending the meeting may review project displays and aerial photographs, and speak one-on-one with project team members. Complimentary parking is located under the hotel parking garage and directly behind the hotel. The department sent notices to all property owners located within 500 feet on either side of the US 41 project limits, as well as any other interested persons. The meeting is developed in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. The Florida Public Service Commission will consider at its December 12, 2017, Commission Conference, Docket No. 20170241-GU, Application of Florida City Gas for authority to issue debt security. The Company seeks PSC approval pursuant to Section 366.04, Florida Statutes, to finance its on-going cash requirements through its participation and borrowings from and investments in Southern Gas Company’s Utility Money Pool. In addition, the Company seeks approval to make short-term borrowings not to exceed $800 million (aggregate for the Company’s three utilities) annually from the Utility Money Pool according to limits that are consistent, given the seasonal nature of the Company’s business and its anticipated cash demands, with the Company’s capitalization. The Company’s share of these borrowings will not exceed $250 million. To take final action in Docket No. 20170241-GU.; Tuesday, December 12, 2017. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a Tampa Bay Next Downtown Tampa and Urban Core Areas Community Working Group meeting on Wednesday, December 13th, 5:30 p.m. at the Seminole Heights Branch Library, 4711 N Central Ave, Tampa, FL 33603. At this workshop the FDOT will present information about various projects including the Heights Study, the Downtown Tampa interchange and I-275 North, and more. The Hillsborough County Metropolitan Planning Organization has been invited to present information about their upcoming Long Range Transportation Plan and the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HART) will present the latest Regional Transit Feasibility Plan information. The format will encourage dialogue to address questions and ideas. The group discussions include topics such as multi-modal transportation and evaluating infrastructure improvements in the context of a comprehensive regional transportation system.
