State Road (S.R.) 10 (U.S. 90A/Nine Mile Road) Major Re-evaluation PD&E Study; Financial Project Identification Number: 218605-4-22-01. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting an alternatives public workshop to present the initial engineering and environmental analysis to date and give the public an opportunity to provide comments concerning the re-evaluation of the PD&E study for proposed widening of S.R. 10 (U.S. 90A/Nine Mile Road) from two to four lanes beginning at S.R. 10A (U.S. 90/Mobile Highway) and continuing to S.R. 297 (Pine Forest Road), a length of approximately 5.8 miles. This re-evaluation effort will focus on the alternative recommended in the original document and determine if changes in socio-economic, natural and physical environmental conditions or design standards have occurred since the original study was completed and approved in 1992. There will be no formal presentation; however, study materials, including maps and project graphics, will be on display. A workshop will commence at 2:00 p.m. to present the Department’s recommendations and to receive public comment on the Intended Use Plan (IUP) for Federal and State Safe Drinking Water Act appropriations. Funds will be used to finance drinking water preconstruction and construction projects through the State Revolving Fund program in accordance with Chapter 62-552, Florida Administrative Code. Workshop topics will include project eligibility, project prioritization, type of assistance available, objectives of the program, program requirements, use of set-aside funds, and the proposed project list. A copy of the proposed IUP will be available after February 14, 2014 on the Department’s Oculus website.
