Chapter 62B-49, F.A.C., establishes the Joint Coastal Permit program. Activities that would have required both a coastal construction permit and an environmental resource permit are now authorized by a single joint coastal permit. The Department proposes to amend Chapter 62B-49 and add a new rule to implement the Laws of Florida 2012-65. The Department also proposes to clarify language in order to reduce confusion in the permitting process and reduce Requests for Additional Information (RAI’s). The Department proposes to add conditions and amend portions to expedite the permitting process. FDOT is studying the location of a future interchange connection of I-4 with the proposed Central Polk Parkway, east of US 27. At this meeting, FDOT will display information for people’s review and comment regarding two proposed interchange locations on I-4 and the associated corridors extending to US 17/92 in Davenport, a distance of approximately 5.6 miles.
FDOT is sending notices to all property owners located at least 300 feet either side of I-4 and the associated corridors extending to US 17/92. FDOT encourages all interested people to attend and express their views regarding the project and information presented. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a public hearing regarding plans to widen West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (SR 530) from Bali Boulevard to east of Secret Lake Drive, near the Orange/Osceola County border. Improvements include left turn lane extensions, crosswalk striping, median access restrictions, and median closures in multiple locations along the roadway. The purpose of this public hearing is to present information on the proposed road widening and to receive public input regarding the access management changes.
The hearing begins with an open house at 5:30 p.m., includes a presentation at 6:00 p.m., and ends at 7:30 p.m. Staff members will be available to answer questions before and after the presentation. Project Description: Seminole Wekiva Trail Phase IV
from the Orange County Line to the San Sebastian Trailhead, Seminole County
Seminole County has begun the design and environmental permitting services for the Seminole Wekiva Trail Phase IV. Improvements to the existing Seminole Wekiva Trail Corridor between the Orange County Line near the Bear Lake Road/ Maitland Boulevard intersection and the San Sebastian Trailhead near SR 436 will include a 14-foot-wide paved multi-use trail, where possible, and a 10 to 12-foot-wide trail in the other areas. Additional related infrastructure improvements include drainage, accommodations for intersecting streets, and other access management elements along the abandoned railroad corridor and road rights-of-way. The length of the project is 2.75 miles. Construction is anticipated to start this summer and will last 12-18 months. The new segment will open by early 2015.
Staff members are available to discuss the project and answer any questions you may have before and after the presentation. Participants may also provide public comments at any time during the meeting. Written comments can be submitted to David Martin as noted below, prior to March 5, 2013.
