The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Six, has scheduled two Public Information Workshops for the Interstate 195 (I-195) Corridor Planning Study from State Road (SR) 933/NW 12 Avenue to SR 907/Alton Road (FM Number: 440228-1-22-01) in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The study is evaluating strategies to improve capacity deficiencies, traffic operations, and multimodal use along I-195 Corridor Planning Study within the study limits. The workshop is being conducted to explain the study process, seek public input on proposed improvements and provide interested persons an opportunity to get involved in the study. The workshop will follow an open-house format with a brief presentation. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is inviting stakeholders to participate in a discussion to begin the formulation of a corridor vision for SR 780/Fruitville Road from US 301 to just east of I-75. The intent behind this effort is to formulate a Corridor Vision Plan that will be reflective of where the community would like to be and how FDOT, as a partner, can better understand the community's needs. The project team will provide a brief overview of the purpose of the project, discuss previous and current related efforts in the area, and lead discussions to gather input on the future vision for the corridor. This discussion is designed to gather and analyze input from various local and regional entities. FDOT will host a larger meeting later this spring that will target the public.
