On April 3, 2013 the Division issued an order. The Final Order was in response to a Petition for a Variance from Seasons Largo ALF, filed March 8, 2013, and advertised on March 14, 2013 in Vol. 39, No. 51, of the Florida Administrative Register. No comments were received in response to the petition. The Final Order on the Petition for Variance grants the Petitioner a variance from Rule 2.18.5.1, and 2.20.1 ASME A17.1b, 2009 edition, as adopted by Rule 61C-5.001(1)(a) Florida Administrative Code that requires that suspension be provided by steel wire ropes and that governor ropes be no less than 9.5mm because the Petitioner has demonstrated that the intent of the rule will be met and that Petitioner would suffer a substantial hardship if required to comply with this rule (VW2013-075)

On April 3, 2013 the Division issued a Scriveners’ Error Notice. The Scriveners’ Error Notice is intended to o add a rule missed in the variance order dated January 29, 2013 from Mirror Lake Lyceum, filed September 10, 2012, and advertised on September 11, 2012 in Vol. 38, No. 38, of the Florida Administrative Register. No comments were received in response to the petition. The Scriveners’ Error added to the order Rule 3.3.2 ASME A17.3, 1996 edition, as adopted by Chapter 30, Section 3001.2 Florida Building Code adopted by Rule 61C-5.001(1)(a) Florida Administrative Code that requires upgrading the elevators platform guards because the Petitioner has demonstrated that the intent of the rule will be met and that Petitioner would suffer a substantial hardship if required to comply with this rule (VW2012-299).

This is the third technical meeting to discuss the Silver Springs Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP). Material presented at this meeting will provide an overview of how the springshed for Silver Springs may be delineated and how project focus areas may be identified. It will include presentations about the sources of nitrogen and the dynamics of nitrogen transformations in the environment.
The Silver Springs BMAP was initiated in response to the adoption of a total maximum daily load for Silver Springs and the upstream portion of Silver River that requires a reduction in nitrate concentration to 0.35 mg/L.
