    • The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting to provide details on the upcoming roadway construction project, North Broward Mobility Improvements in Broward County, FL. The project consists of mobility improvements along NE 11th Avenue, NE 48th Street/NE 49th Street, SW 3rd Avenue and SE 2nd Avenue in the cities of Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach in Broward County, FL. Project improvements in Pompano Beach include adding pavement markings and missing sidewalks on NE 11th Avenue. Project improvements in Deerfield Beach include milling and resurfacing NE 48th Street/NE 49th Street with minor widening to accommodate bike lanes in both directions, milling and resurfacing and adding pedestrian lighting on SW 3rd Avenue, and adding pavement markings on SE 2nd Avenue. Other improvements include curb and gutter, pavers and reconstructed driveways. Construction will begin in April 2019 and is estimated to be completed in spring 2020. The estimated construction cost is $4.1 million. During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans.
