Petitioner sought a variance or waiver of Rule 64B4-3.0051, F.A.C., regarding the substantially equivalent licensing examination. The Board considered the instant Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on November 8, 2018, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The Board’s Order, filed on November 29, 2018, granted the Petition. The Board found that Petitioner did meet the purpose of the underlying statute by other means, specifically, his years of experience, education, and other testing, and voted to waive the requirement that Petitioner take and pass the Clinical Level objective multiple choice examination.

Project Description: Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for I-95 between SW 10th Street and Hillsboro Boulevard. This PD&E Study also includes SW 10th Street from west of Military Trail to east of I-95.
A PD&E study is FDOT’s process to evaluate the social, economic and environmental impacts associated with a planned transportation improvement project. The purpose of this meeting is for an update on the alternatives affecting the Newport Business Center entrance and to give interested persons an opportunity to comment and provide input on the transportation improvement alternatives for this project. The meeting will have an open house format and include a brief presentation at 12:00 p.m. Project staff will be available to solicit feedback and answer questions at any time during the meeting.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C.327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.

The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting to provide details on the upcoming roadway construction project, North Broward Mobility Improvements in Broward County, FL. The project consists of mobility improvements along NE 11th Avenue, NE 48th Street/NE 49th Street, SW 3rd Avenue and SE 2nd Avenue in the cities of Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach in Broward County, FL. Project improvements in Pompano Beach include adding pavement markings and missing sidewalks on NE 11th Avenue. Project improvements in Deerfield Beach include milling and resurfacing NE 48th Street/NE 49th Street with minor widening to accommodate bike lanes in both directions, milling and resurfacing and adding pedestrian lighting on SW 3rd Avenue, and adding pavement markings on SE 2nd Avenue. Other improvements include curb and gutter, pavers and reconstructed driveways. Construction will begin in April 2019 and is estimated to be completed in spring 2020. The estimated construction cost is $4.1 million. During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
