of the issuance of an Order Granting Petition for Variance or Waiver regarding Lisette E. Cabrera, filed on February 14, 2017. The Notice of Petition for Variance and Waiver was published in Volume 43, No. 34, of the February 15, 2017 issue of the Florida Administrative Register. No comments were received on the Petition.
The Board considered the Petition at a duly-noticed public meeting held on April 25, 2017. The Petitioner requested a variance or waiver from Rule 64B12-16.004, F.A.C., with regard to the requirement that an apprentice’s sponsor submit a termination of sponsorship form no more than thirty days after the termination date. At its meeting, the Board found that the application of the rule to the Petitioner would violate the principles of fairness and therefore voted to grant the petition with conditions.
The Board’s Order, filed on June 1, 2017, grants the Petition and approves the waiver on the condition that Petitioner’s primary and secondary sponsors submit proper documentation showing that Petitioner has completed up to 5,560 hours, within 120 days of the Board’s meeting date of April 25, 2017.
