    • The proposed rule amendment increases the standard utility allowance and the telephone standard used in calculation of benefits for the Food Assistance Program. One additional statement has been added to the rule regarding treatment of child support paid out being a deduction in the food assistance budget.
    • The purpose of this rule development is to revise existing requirements of the statewide comprehensive management information system to implement changes recommended by school districts and to make changes in state reporting and local recordkeeping procedures for state and/or federal programs. The effect is to maintain compatibility among state and local information systems components. The statewide comprehensive management information system provides the data on which the measurement of school improvement and accountability is based.
    • The purpose of this new rule is to implement requirements of Section 1002.385, F.S.
    • The purpose of this rule development is to make changes to reflect legislative revisions related to accountability of approved nonprofit scholarship-funding organizations and student eligibility requirements. The effect will be a rule that is consistent with the governing statute.

    • The proposed rule is amended to conform to applicable provisions of Chapter 440, F.S., relating to the process through which corporate officers may apply to be exempt from Florida’s workers’ compensation coverage requirements. The proposed rule is also amended to reflect the meaning of “Corporate officer,” as defined in subsection 440.02(9), F.S. Under the aforementioned definition, members owning at least 10% of a non-construction limited liability company qualify as corporate officers and may elect to be exempt from the coverage requirements of Chapter 440, F.S. Incorporated Form DFS-F2-DWC-250 (Notice of Election to Be Exempt), which is completed on-line, is revised to accommodate application by non-construction industry employers seeking to be exempt from the coverage requirements found under Chapter 440, F.S. The proposed rule also provides updated contact information, deletes obsolete language and includes other technical changes.
