In 2013, the Florida Legislature passed Senate Bill 1036 authorizing young adults in foster care, who have not reached permanency before 18 years of age, to remain in care until 21 years of age, or age 22 years of age in the case of a young adult with a disability. This legislation substantially amended the following sections of the Florida Statutes: 39.013, 39.6013, 39.701, 409.145, 409.1451, 409.175, and 409.903 and created sections 39.6035 and 39.6251, Florida Statutes. New rule language is required to reflect the extensive changes in the law.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites the community to a public information meeting about proposed safety improvements to the US 41 at Hansen Street intersection. The proposed improvements include:
• Installing directional median opening on US 41 at Hansen Street for northbound US 41 onto Hansen Street
• Extending the left turn lane on US 41 to Bay Road
This meeting consists of an open house from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., allowing people time to view displays, ask questions, and discuss the work one-on-one with members of the project team. There will be a brief audio-visual presentation about the project at 5:30 p.m. followed by public comment period. Following, the open house will continue until 7 p.m.
