This meeting is being held to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the Florida’s Turnpike Widening Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study with project limits from south of Kissimmee Park Road to US 192, in Osceola County. The proposed improvements include the widening of Florida’s Turnpike (SR 91) from south of Kissimmee Park Road to US 192, and modifications to the existing Kissimmee Park Road and US 192 interchanges. The project’s identification number is 441224-1 and Efficient Transportation Decision Making Number is 14329.
The meeting will be conducted as an open house with no formal presentation. This meeting will give interested persons an opportunity to review project information, ask questions and provide comments concerning the conceptual design, and potential social, economic and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. Displays that illustrate the proposed improvements will be available at the meeting.

Project Description:
The project involves the design of approximately 1.2 miles of multi-use trail along Myrtle Avenue from 10th Street to Lytle Avenue (S.R. 44), within the limits of the City of New Smyrna Beach. This project is part of the St. John’s River to Sea Loop Trail. Planned improvements include:
• Providing a 12-foot wide asphalt trail adjacent to the existing roadway of Myrtle Avenue;
• Restriping of crosswalks to facilitate the use of the trail; and,
• Modifications to the drainage ditch on the east side of Myrtle Avenue.
The project is funded for construction, with construction anticipated to begin in the fall of 2023.
