Rulemaking is necessary to amend the rule to change the title, clarify language regarding what constitutes rule notice and how such notices will be made available to inmates, to remove duplicative statutory language, to require that notice be provided to inmates housed in any confinement or management status that would prevent an inmate from accessing the institutional library or administrative office, and to amend the rulemaking authority and laws implemented citations.

The Department intends to amend Rule 65C-28.011, F.A.C., to clarify (1) when certain types of background checks can be obtained via a search of the Comprehensive Case Information System, and (2) the purpose for which out-of-state local criminal information can be used

The Department intends to amend Rule 65C-29.009, F.A.C., to require a Florida Clerk of the Courts/CCIS check in cases when a placement is being considered.

The Department intends to amend Rule 65C-30.007, Case Management Responsibilities After Case Transfer, to specify the background checks that must be completed when a new household member moves into the child’s home.

The purpose of this rulemaking is to amend the rule chapter to comply with statutory language and to adopt revised and new forms. Several changes were made to chapter 527, Florida Statutes, during the 2020 legislative session and must be implemented. The proposed changes will also update adopted versions of NFPA 54 and NFPA 58 to the most recent versions.

The Everglades Technical Oversight Committee meeting is a public meeting held quarterly to provide an update on water quality conditions in the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge and at inflows to Everglades National Park relative to the 1991 Settlement Agreement, entered as a Consent Decree in 1992, and modified in 1995.

This is a public meeting to discuss and consider Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative business, including current and future projects and activities.
Since its inception in 2000, the Loxahatchee River Preservation Initiative (LRPI) has guided regional watershed restoration projects within northeastern Palm Beach County and southern Martin County. The LRPI is a multi-agency partnership between the South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection (Florida Park Service), Friends of the Loxahatchee River, Jupiter Inlet District (JID), Loxahatchee River Environmental Control District (LRD), Martin County, Palm Beach County, South Indian River Water Control District (SIRWCD), Town of Jupiter, and Village of Tequesta. The LRPI uses state and local funding for restoration projects with tangible environmental benefits aimed at preserving and protecting the resource for future generations to enjoy.
All members of the public are invited to participate and will have an opportunity to provide public comment. The public is advised that it is possible that one or more members of the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District may attend this meeting. No Governing Board action will be taken.
