The purpose and effect of the proposed rule development is to add two new rules to Chapter 62-701 in order to 1) adopt the federal regulations in 40 CFR Part 257.50 through 257.107, “Standards for the Disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals in Landfills and Surface Impoundments” by reference into Chapter 62-701, F.A.C., through the fast track process in section 403.8055, F.S., and 2) adopt procedures in Rule 62-701.805, F.A.C., by which the Department of Environmental Protection will issue Coal Combustion Residuals Permits to facilities in Florida that are currently required to comply with the requirements in 40 CFR Part 257.50 through 257.107.

NE 36th Avenue Widening from NE 20th Place to north of NE 25th Street in Ocala

Project Description:
The FDOT is holding a pre-construction open house on Thursday, August 22, 2019, regarding the NE 36th Avenue widening project between NE 20th Place and north of NE 25th Street in Ocala. The project also calls for construction of new bridges over the CSX railroad crossing and a new access road. Construction is planned to start in early to mid-September.
The open house is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Central Christian Church, 3010 NE 14th Street Ocala, FL 34470. Community members are invited attend at any time to view project information and speak with project team members. No formal presentation will be given.
This project is one segment of three that will widen the road, add bicycle lanes and sidewalks, and provide drainage and signalization improvements to 1.5 miles of NE 36th Avenue from State Road 492 (NE 14th Street) to NE 35th Street. The other two segments, which are from NE 25th Street north to NE 35th Street and from NE 20th Place south to NE 14th Street, are currently in design and unfunded for right of way acquisition and construction.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a combined meeting of the Florida Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) Task Forces. The overall objective of the M-CORES Program is to advance three regional corridors that can accommodate multiple modes of transportation and various types of infrastructure, such as communication, energy, and water. The three regional corridors include (1) Southwest-Central Florida Connector, extending from Collier County to Polk County; (2) Suncoast Connector, extending from Citrus County to Jefferson County; and (3) Northern Turnpike Connector, extending from the northern terminus of the Florida’s Turnpike northwest to the Suncoast Parkway.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an overview of the M-CORES program, legislative requirements, and process. Comment stations will be available throughout the meeting and comments may be submitted through the following methods: in writing at one of the comment stations; verbally to an on-site court reporter; by mail addressed to Ann Howard, Florida Department of Transportation, 605 Suwannee Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399-0450; or by email to FDOT.Listens@dot.state.fl.us.
