On August 10, 2016, the Office issued an Order Approving Variance in Part from Rule 69O-125.003, F.A.C. pursuant to a Petition for Variance filed by Transamerica Life Insurance Company filed on May 17, 2016. Notice of the petition was published in the F.A.R. on May 23, 2016. The Petition requested a variance which would allow the consideration of travel to Iraq and Afghanistan in the underwriting process as well as other countries. The Order granted a variance as to Iraq and Afghanistan but denies a variance for the other countries.

On August 22, 2016, the Division issued an order. The Final Order was in response to a Petition for an emergency permanent Variance from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, filed August 4, 2016, and advertised on August 8, 2016 in Vol. 42, No. 153, of the Florida Administrative Register. No comments were received in response to the petition. The Final Order on the Petition for Variance grants the Petitioner a variance from Rule 2.27.2.3, A.S.M.E. A17.1b, 2009 edition, as adopted by Rule 61C-5.001(1)(a) Florida Administrative Code, and from providing emergency or standby power system illuminated signal marked “ELEVATOR EMERGENCY POWER” because the Petitioner has demonstrated that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met and that Petitioner would suffer a substantial hardship if required to comply with this rule (VW2016-186).

This hearing is being held to afford interested persons the opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic and environmental effects of Financial Project ID: 411423-1 otherwise known as the C Street Bridge Replacement project in Cedar Key, Florida. You are invited to attend a Public Hearing to discuss the proposed plans for replacement of the C Street Bridge. This hearing will be an “Open House” format to allow visitors to drop by anytime from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to talk with Department staff, ask questions and submit written comments. At 6:30 p.m., the Department will open the hearing for public comments. The new bridge will consist of a 17 foot one-way travel lane, 8 foot parking lanes and 6 foot sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. The proposed bridge will be raised approximately 3 feet. During construction, the bridge will remain open to through traffic only, no parking will be allowed on the bridge.
