Project Description: SR 9/I-95 at the SR 824/Pembroke Road Interchange in Broward County, FL.
Project improvements include widening the I-95 off-ramps at Pembroke Road to accommodate an additional right turn lane; minor shoulder widening of the I-95 on-ramps at Pembroke Road; upgrading the existing traffic signals at the intersections of Pembroke Road and the I-95 off-ramps; upgrading the existing lighting along the I-95 on and off-ramps at Pembroke Road to LED lighting; reconstructing the sidewalks and pedestrian crossings at the I-95 off-ramps and the I-95 northbound on-ramp at Pembroke Road; and milling and resurfacing within the project limits.
Construction will begin September 25, 2019 and is estimated to be completed in spring 2020. The estimated construction cost is $1,465,257.
During the informal open house, attendees will have the opportunity to review roadway improvements, construction plans and traffic control plans. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

The workshop will discuss a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2019 Injured Veterans Housing Pilot Program. $1 million has been provided to Florida Housing to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that build, modify, maintain, transfer, and enhance homes to and for Florida veterans.
