Project Description: State Road 417 Widening from International Drive to John Young Parkway (417-141) and from John Young Parkway to Landstar Boulevard (417-142)
The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) plans to widen State Road 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay) from International Drive to Landstar Boulevard. This project will include widening SR 417 from four lanes to six lanes, and proposed sound walls parallel to SR 417 along sections of the project areas. The community information meeting will be an open house where the public will be able to come at any point during the allotted time to view project information, including maps and graphics, and to speak with members of the project team. No formal presentation is scheduled.
During the design phase for these projects, CFX conducted a noise analysis and identified eleven locations where a sound wall would be a viable measure to reduce traffic noise. CFX is now trying to determine the level of support from nearby property owners and residents for the construction of these sound walls. The proposed sound wall concepts will be presented at the March 26 meeting.
Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
