- On April 4, 2017, the Department received a request withdrawing the Petition for variance from Ocean Gallery, filed February 17, 2017, and advertised on February 23, 2017 in Vol.43 No.37 of the Florida Administrative Register. The Petition for variance requested a variance from ASME A17.1, Section 8.7.3.31.5(a), 2009 edition, as adopted by 61C-5.001(1), Florida Administrative Code that requires upgrading the elevators for firefighters’ emergency operations. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety is taking no further action on the petition (VW2017-017).
