- of the issuance of an Order regarding the Petition for Waiver or Variance, which was filed on February 11, 2020, by Flana Rose Levando. Petitioner was seeking a waiver or variance from Rule 64B13-4.001(1)(d) 2. and 3., F.A.C., entitled, “Examination Requirements” which states in part that the licensure examination authorized in section 463.006(2), F.S., shall consist of four parts with one being the Florida Practical Examination. The Florida Practical Examination shall consist of three (3) tested skills and the Board requires passage of all three (3) skills on the same test attempt. The three (3) skills are Biomicroscopy, Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscopy, Dilated Biomicroscopy and Non-Contact Fundus Lens Evaluation and are weighted equally. The passing score for each skill shall be seventy-five percent (75%) or better, and a passing score on each of the three (3) skills must be obtained on the same test attempt. The Notice was published in Volume 46, No. 30, of the Florida Administrative Register, on February 13, 2020.
Between the time that Petitioner filed her petition and the April 3, 2020 telephonic board meeting, Petitioner received notification that she passed all three skills on the February 2020 examination. Therefore, Petitioner withdrew her petition for waiver or variance. The Board’s Order was filed on May 5, 2020.

- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has new information concerning the I-10 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies from west of U.S. 90 to west of State Road (S.R.) 263 (Capital Circle NW) in Gadsden and Leon counties and I-10 from east of S.R. 261 (Capital Circle NE) to west of S.R. 59 (Gamble Road) in Leon and Jefferson counties.
FDOT has new information concerning the above-referenced projects available online at nwflroads.com. The information can be accessed anytime, anywhere beginning 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the following link, nwflroads.com.
This information provides interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed improvements.
The intent of these studies is to evaluate adding capacity on I-10 by widening approximately 17.6 miles of roadway from four to six lanes. Interchange improvements will be evaluated as necessary.
Maps, drawings and other information will be available for review on the project website (nwflroads.com). FDOT representatives are available to discuss the proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments via phone, email or mail to Sherry Alaghemand, P.E., FDOT Project Manager at (888) 638-0250, extension 1510, or via email at sherry.alaghemand@dot.state.fl.us, or by mail at 1074 Highway 90, Chipley, Florida 32428. The deadline to submit official comments related to these projects update is June 25, 2020.
