- : In accordance with Chapters 120 and 190, Florida Statutes, and the District’s Rules of Procedure, the public hearing will consider modification of an existing emergency rule to close the District’s public beach and adjacent parking lots. The purpose of the existing emergency rule is to prohibit pedestrians from walking upon or accessing the public beach and south parking lot within the District to protect the public health, safety, and welfare. The status of the rule will be discussed and the rule may be modified.
Specific legal authority for the rule amendments and the provisions of the Florida Statutes being implemented includes Chapters 120 and 190, Florida Statutes, generally, and Section 190.011 and 120.54(4), Florida Statutes, Rule 1.3(3), SBCDD Rules of Procedure, and Executive Order #20-69, specifically.
