- variance from Shelly Sinclair, PO Box 302, Old Town, FL 32680, pursuant to Section 120.542, F.S. Petitioner is seeking a variance from paragraph 40B-4.3030(13) F.A.C., as to no construction, additions or reconstruction shall occur in the front 75-feet of an area immediately adjacent to and including the normally recognized bank of a water. Petitioner proposes to construct a structure (private home) utilizing the existing concrete pilings located within the 75 foot buffer zone for the Suwannee River. The pilings are existing and were placed for a previous residence that has been removed, and applicant is prepared to demonstrate their existence does not cause a rise in the associated floodplain elevation at upstream or downstream of the site. The existing house is within the 75-foot set-back in Dixie County, in Township 9 South, Range 14 East, Section 18. These rules are intended to set forth criteria for development activities within a Works of the District. The petition has been assigned ERP Number WOD-029-230695-1, Sinclair Buildings.
- variance from Van Humphreys, Florida Department of Transportation, 1109 South Marion Avenue, Lake City, FL 32025, pursuant to Section 120.542, F.S. Petitioner is seeking a variance from paragraph 40B-4.3030(1)(e) and 40B-4.3030(7) F.A.C., as to new roads within a work of the district which at any point along the road, have a driving surface greater than 1 foot above adjacent natural ground elevations or result in a net fill within the floodway and no fill matter shall be placed above the natural grade of the ground except for minor amounts of fill which are less than or equal to 100 square feet of the cross-sectional area of the floodway. Petitioner proposes to replace a structurally deficient bridge and roadway associated with sub-standard shoulders, lane widths and guardrail. Also, roadway reconstruction and widening near the agricultural inspection station will improve the efficiency at which the station operates. The existing bridge is in Lafayette County, in Township 3 South, Range 11 East, Sections 7 and 8. These rules are intended to set forth criteria for development activities within a Works of the District. The petition has been assigned ERP Number ERP-067-230260-1, CR 250 Bridge Replacement.

Notice is hereby given that the University of South Florida, Center for Urban Transportation Research, representing the Florida Department of Transportation, will receive sealed proposals for the manufacture and delivery of the following 2017 model year vehicle type:

The quantities reflect the immediate and foreseeable needs of transit agencies within Florida and were determined by using the most recent State of Florida Program of Projects, historical data from previous Florida Department of Transportation contracts, Agency(s) requests, and Agency(s) vehicle replacement schedules. All or part of the quantity of vehicles stated herein may be assigned to other public transit agencies desiring to purchase the same equipment specified in Part 2 of this solicitation. The TRIPS program reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any part of any or all proposals.
A pre-proposal meeting will be held September 20, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at Big Bend Transit, 2201 Eisenhower Street, Tallahassee, FL 32305. Although optional, it is highly recommended prospective proposers attend, due to the known complexities of this solicitation. The meeting will be held in the conference room. The Florida Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Dade City, is holding this public workshop to discuss proposed improvements to be made to US 301 from Pond Avenue to north of Long Avenue/Pioneer Museum Road in Dade City. The proposed improvements include removing old asphalt and repaving the existing roadway and safety enhancements such as intersection improvements. The project also includes traffic operational improvements such as new turn lanes, turn-lane extensions at select locations, and a proposed reduction in the number of thru lanes from 3 in each direction to 2 in each direction. Buffered bicycle lanes are also being proposed.
