14-51. Florida's Highway Guide Sign Program |
1(1) This rule chapter provides for a system of guide signing that will perform the following functions:
18(a) Inform and guide motorists to the needed signed facilities and motorist services.
31(b) Improve traffic flow at interchanges or intersections near destinations that generate a large volume of traffic.
48(c) Establish criteria for the erection of guide signs and general service signs.
61(2) This rule chapter applies the requirements for guide signs, 71excluding principle destination signs, general service signs, community 79wayfinding guide signs, and tourist-oriented directional signs as stated in the applicable sections of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, incorporated herein by reference herein under Rule 10714-15.010, 108F.A.C.
