40E-3.507. Casing and Liner Pipe Standards

  • 1(1) All well casing shall conform to the standards identified in subsection 1362-532.500(1), 14F.A.C., incorporated by reference in paragraph 2040E-3.036(1)(c), 21F.A.C.

    22(2) Wells constructed using telescoping casings shall be considered as a continuous casing provided the following conditions are met:

    41(a) Any annular space including the overlapped section shall be grouted in accordance with subparagraph 5662-532.500(3)(i)4., 57F.A.C. incorporated by reference in subsection 6340E-3.036(2), 64F.A.C. The grout shall extend from the bottom of the casing to the top of the innermost casing. The use of lead packers is prohibited.

    89(b) The bottom end of the casing shall extend to or below the water level of the aquifer intended to supply water to the well.

    114(c) All caving zones below the uppermost consolidated unit shall be cased.

    126(d) A minimum of 10 feet overlap is required for non-public supply wells. One casing centralizer shall be used within the overlapped section.

    149(e) A minimum of 20 feet overlap is required for public supply wells. Two casing centralizers shall be used within the overlapped section.
