153ER20-17 Retailer CASH4LIFE4® 5Bonus Commission Program.
8(1) The Florida Lottery will conduct, as a retailer sales incentive, a Retailer 21CASH4LIFE22® 23Bonus Commission Program (“Program”) 27in which the Florida Lottery will award bonus commissions to Florida Lottery retailers who sell a winning Top Prize (47$1,000/Day for Life) 51or Second Prize (55$1,000/Week for Life) 59ticket for a daily drawing.
64(2) The bonus commission for selling a winning Top Prize CASH4LIFE ticket is $10,000.
79(3) 80If multiple winning Top Prize tickets are sold in Florida for the same CASH4LIFE 94drawing, the retailers selling such tickets will share the bonus commission. Each retailer selling a winning Top Prize ticket will receive a share of the bonus equal to the number of winning Top Prize tickets sold by that particular retailer divided by the total number of winning Top Prize tickets sold in Florida for that drawing.
150(4) 151Florida Lottery retailers who sell a 157winning 158Second Prize 160CASH4LIFE 161ticket will receive a $2,000 167bonus commission.
169(5) Award of a bonus commission is not dependent upon a winning Top Prize or Second Prize CASH4LIFE 187ticket 188being claimed by the winner.
193(6) Retailers whose Florida Lottery contracts are terminated or inactivated prior to the bonus commission award shall be paid the bonus commission earned provided said termination or inactivation was not due to noncompliance with Chapter 24, Florida Statutes, Chapter 53, F.A.C., or contract terms237.
238(7) A bonus commission will be considered compensation to the retailer and will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service by the Florida Lottery. 262The Florida Lottery reserves the right to apply a bonus commission earned against a retailer’s outstanding debt to the Florida Lottery, and to award the remaining balance of the bonus commission, if a295ny.
296(8) CASH4LIFE bonus commissions are subject to availability of funds appropriated for retailer incentives. This Program is subject to cancellation by a future emergency rule if retailer incentive funding is not appropriated or if the Florida Lottery determines that it is no longer in the state’s best interest to use such funds for this purp351ose.
