1(1) Any public or private non-profit agency or organization, incorporated under the Laws of Florida, is eligible to receive a subgrant or contract for services funded under the Older Americans Act. A regional or local agency of the state, however, is not eligible as a service provider. An area agency on aging may not provide direct services unless the department determines that this is necessary in order to ensure an adequate supply of a specific service.
77(2) Eligible agencies or organizations desiring to provide services under the area plan must apply to the local area agency on aging when a request for proposal(s) has been issued.
