58H-1. Home Care For The Elderly |
1The 2following terms are defined in the rule chapter10:
11(1) 12ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENT: The tool prescribed by the area agency on aging in its contract with the case management agency for use in determining the client’s level of functioning, existing resources, service needs, and priority for services.
48(2) BASIC SUBSIDY51: A 53monthly payment made to the caregiver for support and health maintenance, to assist with the cost of housing, food, clothing, medical and dental services, and incidentals, 79which are 81not covered by Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance.
89(3) CAREGIVER91: A93n adult person, age 18 or above, who is approved by the 105case management a108gency to provide care to 1133 or fewer 116elderly 117persons in the private residence of the client or caregiver127.
128(4) CASE MANAGEMENT AGENCY: The Community Care for the Elderly lead agency or other agency under contract with an area agency on aging (AAA) to provide case management services.
