60CC-5.101. Payroll Deduction

  • 1(1) The exception provided in section 7447.303(1), F.S., 9as amended by chapter 2023-35, section 3, L.O.F., from the prohibition on deduction and collection of dues and uniform assessments by an employer applies only to the dues and assessments deducted and collected from the salaries of employees in a bargaining unit that includes law enforcement officers, correctional officers, or correctional probation officers as those terms are defined in section 69943.10(1), 70(2), or (3), F.S., respectively, or firefighters as defined in section 81633.102, F.S., 83or when a waiver is granted under section 91447.207(12)(a).

    92(2) The right provided in section 98447.303(2), F.S., 100as amended by chapter 2023-35, section 3, L.O.F., of an employee organization to have its dues and uniform assessments deducted and collected by the employer from the salaries of those employees who authorize the deduction and collection of said dues and uniform assessments applies only to the dues and assessments deducted and collected from the salaries of employees in a bargaining unit that includes law enforcement officers, correctional officers, or correctional probation officers as those terms are defined in section 180943.10(1), 181(2), or (3), F.S., respectively, or firefighters as defined in section 192633.102, F.S.
