    27(1) Any veteran returning from service after an honorable discharge, or the spouse of a veteran at time of honorable discharge, wishing to obtain a waiver of fees as set forth in Section 60455.213(13), F.S., 62any person who is or was an active duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States, or who is a spouse or surviving spouse of such member, wishing to obtain a waiver of licensing fees as set forth in Section 104455.219(7), F.S., 106or any military veteran requesting recognition of prior service for purposes of licensure pursuant to Section 122489.1131 123or 124489.5161, F.S., 126shall submit, along with their application for licensure, a completed Form DBPR 138MVL 139002, Military Member/Veteran/Spouse Fee Waiver and Military Service Verification, effective April 2019, incorporated herein by reference and available at: 158https://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-10499160.

    161(2) Any person who is or was an active duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States, or who is a spouse or surviving spouse of such member in accordance with the provisions under Section 198455.02(3)(a)1., F.S., 200desiring an initial professional license shall submit a completed Form DBPR MVL 003, Initial Military/Veteran Application for Professional Licensure, effective May 2024, incorporated herein by reference and available at: 229https://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-16605231.

    232(3) Pursuant to Section 236455.219(7)(a), F.S., 238the department, or a board thereunder, shall waive the initial licensing fee for a low-income individual. As defined in that section, a “low-income individual” is a person whose household income, before taxes, is at or below one hundred thirty percent (130%) of the federal poverty guidelines prescribed for the family’s household size by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The 2024 federal poverty guidelines, published on January 17, 2024, in 89 Federal Register 2961, are hereby incorporated by reference and may be obtained from https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2024/01/17/2024-00796/annual-update-of-the-hhs-poverty-guidelines or at: 328https://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-16606330. Any person claiming waiver of an initial professional licensing fee based upon low-income status pursuant to Section 348455.219(7)(a), F.S., 350shall submit, along with their application for licensure, a completed Form DBPR LI 001, Application for Low Income Waiver of Licensing Fee, effective April 2019, incorporated herein by reference and available at: 382https://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-10501384.

    385(4) Any person who is an active duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States, or who is a spouse of such member, who has relocated to Florida due to military orders, who wishes to qualify for Professional License Portability in Florida under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act (SCRA) pursuant to 43850 U.S.C. 4025(a), 441shall submit a completed Form DBPR SCRA 1, Application for Professional Licensure under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act, effective May 2024, incorporated herein by reference and available at 469https://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-16607471.
