61J1-4. Minimum Educational Requirements |
1(1) Pursuant to Section 5475.618(3), F.S., 7a registration, license, or certification which is not renewed at the end of the registration, license, or certification period as prescribed by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation shall automatically revert to inactive status. An inactive status may only be maintained for four (4) years at which time the registration, license, or certification shall automatically expire.
64(2) At any time after the registration, license, or certification becomes inactive, the registration, license, or certification may be renewed and reactivated upon application to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, payment of the required fee(s) in Rule 10361J1-2.001, 104F.A.C., and the satisfactory completion of the educational requirements listed below. 115Seven hours of the total required education for each level must include a 7-hour National USPAP update course or its equivalent which must be taught by an AQP certified instructor.
145(a) 146Level One Reactivation is w151hen the inactive status 155does not exceed one (1) year. The reactivation education for all appraiser categories is as follows: thirty (17330) hours of appraiser continuing education (ACE).
180(b) 181Level Two Reactivation is w186hen the inactive status is more than one (1) year but does not exceed two (2) years. The 204reactivation 205education for all appraiser categories is as follows: thirty (30) hours of approved pre-certification education with end of course exam applicable to the licensee’s licensure category 231as defined in Rules 23561J1-10.002, 23661J1-10.003 237and 23861J1-10.004, 239F.A.C.; minimum three (3) hour Supervisor and Trainee course as defined in Rule 25261J1-4.010, 253F.A.C.; 254and thirty (30) hours of appraiser continuing education (ACE).
263(c) 264Level Three Reactivation is w269hen the inactive status is more than two (2) years but does not exceed the four (4) year period. The reactivation education 291for all appraiser categories is 296as follows: 298seventy-five (75) hours of approved pre-certification education with end of course exam applicable to the licensee’s licensure category 316as defined in Rules 32061J1-10.002, 32161J1-10.003 322and 32361J1-10.004, 324F.A.C.; minimum three (3) hour Supervisor and Trainee course as defined in Rule 33761J1-4.010, 338F.A.C.; 339and thirty (30) hours of appraiser continuing education (ACE).
348(3) The reactivation education may be completed by classroom or distance education as defined by Rule 36461J1-4.001, 365F.A.C.
366(4) Any registration, license or certification which exceeds four (4) years in the inactive status shall automatically expire and 385become null and void pursuant to Section 392475.619, F.S. 394T395he person must meet all requirements of Sections 403475.615, 404475.616 405and 406475.617, F.S., 408and Rules 41061J1-2.001, 41161J1-3.001, 41261J1-4.001, 41361J1-5.001 414and 41561J1-6.001, 416F.A.C., in order to be registered or certified again as an appraiser. Further, applicants must meet the requirements of Rule 43661J1-10.001, 43761J1-10.003 438or 43961J1-10.004, 440F.A.C., depending upon the type of registration or certification sought.
