62-602.450. Notification to Applicants for Examinations  


Effective on Monday, October 15, 2007
  • 1(1) 2For each applicant approved by t8he Department 10to take the examination, 14the Department 16will notify 18the 19applicant of the time, place, and date of the examination and 30will 31provide the applicant with an admission notice that is required for admission to the examination.

    46(2) The Department will reschedule an applicant for the next available examination, or provide a refund of the examination fee, when the applicant cannot take the originally scheduled examination and the applicant provides documentation of one of the circumstances below to the Department no later than 21 days after the scheduled examination:

    98(a) For required military service, the applicant must submit to the Department a copy of the applicant’s military orders or a letter from the applicant’s commanding officer.

    125(b) For medical reasons, the applicant must provide a statement from the applicant’s treating physician that serious injury, illness, or other impairment prevented the candidate from taking the examination.

    154(c) For an injury, illness, or death in the immediate family, the applicant must document that this caused the applicant to miss the scheduled examination.

    179(d) Subpoena to appear in court or for jury duty.

    189(3) If an applicant does not take the scheduled exam, and does not meet the requirements in subsection (2) above, the examination fee will neither be refunded nor carried forward to the next examination cycle.
