63M-2.0046. Healthcare Orientation of Committed Youth  


Effective on Sunday, March 16, 2014
  • 1(1) All facilities shall conduct an orientation for youth to the health care delivery services upon admission, or at the next available opportunity after admission.

    26(2) The healthcare orientation shall be provided by a nurse, or at a minimum, by a non-licensed staff knowledgeable with the health care delivery system.

    51(3) Each facility shall make provisions for orientation of youth who are hearing or visually impaired.

    67(4) Orientation must be provided in Spanish or other languages that youth use as a primary language.

    84(5) For youth with cognitive deficits, the school district personnel (or teachers employed by the facility) shall provide information as to how to present this information to youth who are impaired.
