65C-22. Child Care Standards |
1(1) Hours of Care. Evening Child Care, as defined in Section 12402.302(7), F.S., 14means child care provided during evening hours and may encompass the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
32(2) Supervision. During evening child care hours, staff must remain awake at all times. While children are awake, direct supervision as described in paragraph 5665C-22.001(5)(b), 57F.A.C., must be provided. When children are sleeping, supervision, as defined in 69section 2.4.2 of the Child Care Facility Handbook, 77is required.
79(3) Exemptions. Child care standards, as outlined in Sections 88402.301 89through 90402.305, F.S., 92and Rules 9465C-22.001, 95F.A.C., apply to Evening Child Care with the following exceptions:
105(a) Outdoor Play Area. For facilities that provide only evening child care, outdoor play space is not required. An open area within the existing indoor floor space designated for play that promotes the development of gross motor skills must be available.
146(b) Credentialed staff, pursuant to Section 152402.305(3), F.S., 154are not required for Evening Child Care.
161(c) Director credentialed staff are not required for Evening Child Care.
