Effective on Sunday, September 1, 2013
1(1) Designation as a Protected Species – The snook, species 11Centropomus undecimalis, 13is hereby declared and designated a protected species.
21(2) The snook, species 25Centropomus undecimalis 27has been designated as a protected species to increase public awareness of the need for extensive conservation action in order to prevent this resource from becoming endangered; and to encourage voluntary conservation practices, including catch-and-release practices for all snook caught unless they are needed for food.
