69L-56. Electronic Data Interchange (Edi) Requirements For Proof Of Coverage And Claims (Non-Medical) |
1Pursuant to 3S4ection 5440.593(1), F.S., 7the Division may establish different deadlines for filing required reports electronically than are otherwise required when reporting information by other means. Accordingly, notwithstanding the deadlines for filing policy information by other means as set forth in 43S44ection 45440.185(7), F.S., 47an insurer, other than an individual self-insurer approved under Section 57440.38, F.S., 59must electronically file the following information in accordance with the provisions of this rule, and shall have received an 78Application 79A80cknowledgement 81C82ode of “85TA” (87Transaction Accepted89) 90by the Division within the following deadlines:
97(1) No later than thirty days after the effective date of any workers’ compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal, every insurer shall send the electronic Certificate of Insurance.
127(2) No later than thirty days after the issue date of each endorsement to any workers’ compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal, every insurer shall send the electronic Notice of Endorsement.
160(3) No later than thirty days after the effective date of each reinstatement of a cancelled workers’ compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal, every insurer shall send the electronic Notice of Reinstatement.
194(4) No later than thirty days prior to the cancellation or non-renewal of any workers’ compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal, other than a cancellation for non-payment of premium or 226failure to pay deductible or 231when cancellation or non-renewal is requested by the insured, every insurer shall send the electronic cancellation or non-renewal.
249(5) No later than thirty days prior to the cancellation of any workers262’ 263compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal with a policy effective date prior to October 1, 2003, that is being cancelled for non-payment of premium or failure to pay deductible, every insurer shall send the electronic cancellation represented by Triplicate Codes “00-41-59”, “00-41-69” and “00-60-59”.
309(6) No later than ten days prior to the cancellation of 320any workers322’ 323compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal 331with a policy effective date on or after October 1, 2003, that is being cancelled for non-payment of premium 350or failure to pay deductible, 355every insurer shall send the electronic cancellation represented by Triplicate Code366s “00-41-59”, “00-41-69” and “00-60-59”.
371(7) No later than ten days after the cancellation or non-renewal of 383any workers' compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal 393for which an insured has requested cancellation or non-renewal, the insurer shall send 406the electronic 408cancellation or non-renewal 411to the Division. The electronic 416cancellation or non-renewal 419shall be represented by 423Triplicate Codes containing Transaction Set Type Codes “42” & “60”, with the exception of Triplicate Code “00-60-64”, pursuant to the “Transaction Overview” 445document, located in Section 4 of the IAIABC EDI Implementation Guide for Proof of Coverage: Insured, Employer, Header, Trailer 464& 465Acknowledgement Records, Release 2469.1, 4706471/01/04727 473Edition 474and Supplement476.
477(8) An insurer shall not cancel or non-renew a workers’ compensation insurance policy, contract of insurance, or renewal for underwriting reasons represented by Triplicate Code “00-60-64” until and unless 30 days have elapsed after the insurer has electronically sent a cancellation or non-renewal to the Division directly or through a third party vendor.
