12D-7.014. Homestead Exemptions - Civil Rights  


Effective on Tuesday, October 12, 1976
  • 1(1) Although loss of suffrage is one consequence of a felony conviction, the person so convicted is not thereby deprived of his right to obtain homestead exemption.

    28(2) An unmarried minor whose disabilities of non-age have not been removed may not maintain a permanent home away from his parents such as to entitle him or her to homestead exemption (Beckman v. Beckman, 43 So. 923 (Fla. 1907)).
