29D-6.009. Situation Assessment  


Effective on Tuesday, July 5, 1994
  • 1(1) A jurisdiction, organization, group, or individual may request that the RPC staff or other neutral party perform a situation assessment at any time, before or after initiation of the process.

    32(2) The situation assessment may involve examination of documents, interviews and/or assessement meetings, and shall recommend issues to be addressed, parties that may participate, appropriate resolution procedures and a proposed schedule.

    63(3) The situation assessment is intended to examine the nature of the dispute; identify affected and potential parties; and assist the parties to evaluate appropriate dispute resolution procedures.

    91(4) The situation assessment shall be performed by Council staff, unless the Council is a named party. In those cases where the Council is a named party, the situation assessment will be performed by a neutral agreeable to all the named parties.
