34-13.620. Prohibition Against Accepting Honoraria and Honoraria Event Related Expenses  


Effective on Monday, January 11, 2016
  • 1(1) Reporting individuals and procurement employees are prohibited from knowingly accepting an honorarium from the following:

    17(a) A political committee;

    21(b) A vendor doing business with the individual’s or employee’s agency;

    32(c) A lobbyist as defined in Section 39112.3149(1)(d), F.S.; 41or

    42(d) The employer, principal, partner, or firm of a lobbyist.

    52(2) Reporting individuals and procurement employees are prohibited from accepting expenses related to an honorarium event from a political committee unless such expenses are primarily related to contributions, expenditures, or other political activities authorized pursuant to Chapter 106, F.S.

    91(3) Reasonable inquiry shall be made by the reporting individual or procurement employee of the source of the proposed honorarium or honorarium event related expense to determine whether it is prohibited.
