6A-4.0262. Specialization Requirements for Certification in Mathematics (Grades 6-12) - Academic Class  


Effective on Monday, July 17, 2000
  • 1(1) Plan One. A bachelor’s or higher degree with an undergraduate or graduate major in mathematics, or

    18(2) Plan Two. A bachelor’s or higher degree with thirty (30) semester hours in mathematics to include the areas specified below:

    39(a) Six (6) semester hours in calculus,

    46(b) Credit in geometry,

    50(c) Credit in probability or statistics, and

    57(d) Credit in abstract or linear algebra, or

    65(3) Plan Three. A bachelor’s or higher degree with specialization requirements completed for physics and twenty-one (21) semester hours in mathematics to include the areas specified below:

    92(a) Six (6) semester hours in calculus,

    99(b) Credit in geometry,

    103(c) Credit in probability or statistics, and

    110(d) Credit in abstract or linear algebra.
