NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Office of Financial Regulation has received the petition for declaratory statement from John Simonyan – Digital Express on January 4, 2016. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Chapter 560, Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.

The petition seeks a declaratory statement from the Office on whether Petitioner’s proposed business activities (of selling Bitcoin through an automated machine while transactions are maintained between the company and the customer, not a third party vendor) fall within Florida’s money transmitting licensing statute Chapter 560, Florida Statutes.
