Construction Industry Licensing Board
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Construction Industry Licensing Board has issued an order on January 10, 2020 declining to answer the petition for declaratory statement filed by Teddy W. McBride, Jr. The Petitioner sought a determination from the Board whether pilings should be considered a “story.”
The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Vol. 45, No. 181, on September 17, 2019, in the Florida Administrative Register. The Board, at its meeting held on November 15, 2019, declined to answer because the answer depends on local ordinances, building and zoning codes. Also, there may be present or imminent litigation involved with this issue.
