    2013 Water Supply Assessment Recommendations on Regional Water Supply Planning

    At the regularly scheduled Northwest Florida Water Management District Governing Board meeting, to be held on the date and at the location below and to which all people are invited, staff will present the recommendations of its 2013 Water Supply Assessment Update to the Governing Board for approval. Staff will recommend the following:

    1.Continuation of Regional Water Supply Plans for Region II (Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties) and Region III (Bay County).

    2.Discontinuation of the Regional Water Supply Plan for Region V (Gulf and Franklin counties).

    3.No new regional water supply plans are needed at this time.

    The approval of these recommendations will constitute the Governing Board’s determination of the need for detailed regional water supply planning, pursuant to Section 373.709, Florida Statutes. This determination will be re-evaluated when the districtwide Water Supply Assessment is updated in five years.

    Meeting Date/Time: Thursday, February 13, 2014, 1:00 p.m., EST

    Meeting Location: District Headquarters, 81 Water Management Drive, Havana, Florida (off of US Highway 90 near Midway).

    If you have concerns about the recommendations as proposed, and desire an opportunity to discuss them, please contact the District by February 10, 2014. If your concerns cannot be addressed to your satisfaction, you may file a written petition for an administrative hearing pursuant to Sections 120.569 and 120.57, Florida Statutes, by February 12, 2014.
