    11B-27.00212: Maintenance of Officer Certification
    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 18, 2008, the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, received a petition for waiver of Rule 11B-27.00212(14), F.A.C., from Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and Steven F. Kane. The rule requires officers to be separated from employment if they do not complete mandatory retraining for firearms by the reporting date. The Petitioner failed to timely complete his firearms training because of an on-duty injury. Petitioner completed his firearms qualification after his reporting date and was returned to active duty. He wishes to have the “break-in-service” removed from his records.
