DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL SERVICES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Financial Services, Division of State Fire Marshal (the “Department”), has received the petition for declaratory statement from Bruce D. Faust, Fire Marshal, Orange County Fire Rescue (the “Petitioner”) on December 21, 2016. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Section 633.202(16)(b)1., Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.

The Petition seeks the Department’s interpretation of Section 633.202(16)(b)1., Florida Statutes. The Petition seeks clarification on whether the proposed construction of a nonresidential farm building is exempt from the Florida Fire Prevention Code.
