NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has issued an order disposing of the petition for declaratory statement filed by Structa Wire Corp. on May 31, 2017. The following is a summary of the agency's disposition of the petition:

Petitioner requested an answer to the following question regarding the applicability of Rule 61G20-3.001 to its product: Does Structa Wire require a separate Florida Building Report# to meet Florida Building requirements as per Rule 61G20 -3? On September 26, 2017, the Commission issued an order stating that the answer to the question is no, pursuant to Rule 61G20-3.001 Scope and Rule 61G20-3.002 Definitions, Structa Wire product is not a structural component and therefore does not fall within the scope of Rule 61G20-3 State Product Approval. However, the product in question is subject to approval by the local authority having jurisdiction.
