NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on October 27, 2017, the South Florida Water Management District, received a petition for waiver (amended) from Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resources Management (Application No. 17-0207-1) for utilization of Works or Lands of the District known as the C-18E Canal, Palm Beach County (Section 5, Township 42 South, Range 42 East) for the installation of shellrock for a parking area, kayak/canoe launch, signs and floating barrier for public access to paddling trails within the Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area along the west side of the C-18E Canal just north of PGA Boulevard. The amended petition seeks relief from subsection 40E-6.221(3), Fla. Admin. Code, which prohibits parking within Works or Lands of the District, and subsections 40E-6.011(4) & (6), Fla. Admin. Code, which prohibit the placement of above-ground facilities within 40 feet of top of bank within Works or Lands of the District.
