NOTICE OF CHANGE

Notice is hereby given that the following changes have been made to the proposed rule in accordance with subparagraph 120.54(3)(d)1., F.S., published in Vol. 43 No. 162, August 21, 2017 issue of the Florida Administrative Register.

Within Form OEL-VPK 15 (October 2017) titled Florida Early Learning and Development Standards 4 Years Old to Kindergarten, on page 5, under Language and Literacy Domain, C. Vocabulary: Standard 1, Benchmark b: change “understanding” to “mastery” and remove “when describing people and settings”; page 8, under Mathematical Thinking Domain, C. Patterns: Standard 1: change "Identifies and reproduces simple patterns" to "Identifies and extends a simple AB repeating pattern"; page 8, under Mathematical Thinking Domain, C. Patterns: Standard 2: change “Identifies and reproduces simple patterns (ABB) in classroom environment and the world around them” to “Duplicates a simple AB pattern using different objects”; page 8, under Mathematical Thinking Domain, C. Patterns: Standard 3: change “Extends and produces basic patterns” to “Recognizes the unit of repeat of a more complex pattern and extends the pattern (e.g., ABB or ABC)”; page 9, Scientific Inquiry Domain, Standard 3, Benchmark b: change "Collects through drawing, writing, dictation and taking photographs" to "Collects and records data through drawing, writing, dictation and taking photographs."

All other language shall remain the same.
