Dormitory Fire Exit Stair Replacement
Proposals are requested from QUALIFIED REGISTERED GENERAL OR BUILDING CONTRACTOR by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, hereinafter referred to as OWNER, for the construction of:
PROJECT NO: DCF15247510
TITLE: Dormitory Fire Exit Stair Replacement. The Project consist of the demolition of twelve existing exterior cast in-place concrete “exit” stairs, and related items under the base bid with additive alternates of 8 additional stair units. In addition, replace the stairs with a complete galvanized stair system consisting of galvanized steel stringers, grate landings, grate treads and handrails. The design assumes each modular component called for shall be field measured, shop fabricated and welded; then coated (hot-dipped galvanized); and field assembled by bolting using hot-dipped galvanized fasteners as called for on the drawings

PREQUALIFICATION: Each prime Bidder shall be state-certified in accordance with Chapter 489, Florida Statutes, as a General or Building Contractor. Bids from firms not able to furnish proof of the required certification are subject to disqualification.
PROPOSAL: Bids must be submitted in full in accordance with the requirements of the Drawings and the General and Technical Specifications, which may be examined and obtained from the ARCHITECT/ENGINEER:

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. local time. The meeting will be held at 1200 N.E. 55th Boulevard, Gainesville, Florida, North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center, Administration Building, 2nd Floor, Classroom III.
