The South Florida Water Management District announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Water reservation for the portions of the Kissimmee River, Floodplain and Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, in volumes, locations, and seasons of the year as is necessary for the protection of fish and wildlife and associated “Applicant’s Handbook for Water Use Permit Applications within the South Florida Water Management District” criteria. Preliminary rule text and a supporting technical document have been prepared and will be available at the workshop. The purpose of this second workshop is to discuss the draft rule text and supporting technical document, which identifies the water needed for the protection of fish and wildlife. The agenda will be posted on the SFWMD Water Reservations webpage (click on Kissimmee Basin) seven days prior to the workshop.
