NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Florida Building Commission has received the petition for declaratory statement from J. Scott Drafting, Inc. The petition seeks the agency's opinion as to the applicability of Section R301.1.3, Florida Building Code, Residential (2010) as it applies to the petitioner.

Petitioner seeks clarification as to whether FBC-R requires complete plans and specifications to be certified by an architect or engineer that a residential structure addition with elements exceeding the FBC-R structural limits, but designed with accepted practice, is designed to comply the structural portion for wind & gravity loads.
